What You Missed From Coachella 2026

Ava Alexopoulos: Social Media Director and Secretary

Coachella is one of the biggest musical festivals to take place in the spring. From expensive food to memorable music performances, there’s so much to reflect on the festival’s 25th Anniversary event.

Karol G

Latina singer Karol G made history by being the first Latina headliner at Coachella. To celebrate the Latino community, she brought out guest stars such as Becky G, Peso Pluma, and J Balvin. She demonstrated true global star power by having a set list of over 20 of her best hits to close it off as the final performer that weekend.

Justin Bieber

Known as “Biberchella,” Justin Bieber had a performance that was the most-viewed in Coachella history. One segment included him bringing out his laptop to play YouTube videos of his old music videos and watching his younger self sing. During the second weekend, he invited guests on stage that included Billie Eilish, SZA, Sexyy Red, Big Sean, and Dijon.

Sabrina Carpenter

The first headline of the weekend was “Sabrinawood” where Sabrina Carpenter performed her best hits in a vintage drive-in movie set. She brought in surprise guests such as Will Ferrell and Susan Sarandon in between performances, and even brought out Madonna to perform unreleased music with.

Katseye

For their very first Coachella performance, Katseye collaborated with the fictional group Huntrix. This is a group from the Netflix movie KPop Demon Hunters and they performed the Oscar winning song “Golden” which dominated the cultural conversation this past year.

Addison Rae

As she started making her breakthrough, Addison Rae performed her hits through a dance routine. She brought out dancer Maddie Ziegler as a surprise guest to dance to her song. Olivia Rodrigo also made a surprise appearance by performing her song with Addison Rae.

PinkPantheress

By kicking off her Coachella set, PinkPantheress stated she was in search of a “Romeo” to reference her online sense of humor. This set featured multiple guest appearances, including singer Zara Larsson and actor Tyriq Withers.

The Strokes

The hit band The Strokes used Coachella’s stage for a powerful message regarding the US-Iran war and crisis in Palestine. They played a montage of Iranian universities targeted in US-Israeli airstrikes while performing their songs. The Strokes made political statements during the second weekend of Coachella to avoid being dropped and it marked the festival’s boldest message for its 2026 edition.
