The softball team has had a strong season so far with an overall record of 28-12 and conference record of 15-5 with four games left in the season. On Tuesday, Merrimack will travel to Worcester to take on the Assumption College Greyhounds. On Friday, they will travel up to New Hampshire to take on the Franklin Pierce University Ravens in a three game series starting at 3p.m.

The Warriors have won six of their last seven games, which is good enough to put them in first place of the NE10 standings. With playoffs around the corner, the Warriors are looking to be the first seed. The only thing in their way is Assumption, who is nipping at their heels with a record of 10-3 with fewer games played by the Warriors.

Some standouts this year for the softball team include pitcher Haley Currie who currently has an ERA of 2.04 and a record of 11-2 in 99.2 innings pitched. Sophomore Alyssa Williamson has also had a great season hitting .368 with 50 hits and 25 RBIs.
