Merrimack is 15 or 30 minutes from a number of busy shopping malls, but sometimes they just aren’t close enough. Lucky enough, campus is located only minutes away from several Main Street merchants in Andover downtown, perfect for those in support of the shop local movement. Before breaking the bank at the mall, make a pit stop in the center of town to see what it’s all about. Below are four local clothing boutiques or shops that everyone should have on their to-do list this winter.
Chic Consignment
Voted best of the North Shore, this charming clothing boutique offers “in-season, top quality, authentic women’s clothing, handbags, jewelry, accessories, shoes, furniture, and some home décor items.” Follow @chicconsignment on Instagram and you’ll find lululemon for less, Michael Kors, and cozy Burberry scarves. You can even bring in some of your own styles and make some cash if you’re looking to consign.

This well-known thrift shop has been up and running for 75 years and counting. At Andover Thrift, you might be lucky enough to find some big steals on women’s clothing, jewelry, shoes, bags, and more.
