Booms
Quarterbacks
Patrick Mahomes: Mahomes has been killing it so far this season and I just don’t think this week is the week that he slows down. He is going up against the Las Vegas Raiders who are ranked 30th against quarterbacks this season and I think Mahomes can light them up. Mahomes is a guy who will perform every week, but when you give him a great matchup you have to expect him to blow up.
Joe Burrow: After getting back on track from a rough start in the season I can see Burrow having another big game this week. He is playing against the Baltimore Ravens who are ranked 29th against quarterbacks this season and I think this offense can have a big day. Look for Burrow to have multiple touchdowns this weekend in a high-scoring shootout.
Running Backs
Saquon Barkley: Saquon who is ranked the best running back in the NFL currently has been killing it and I think he will have another big game against the Green Bay Packers this week. Green Bay isn’t the best defense in the NFL and I think Saquon can find some production and success during this game. Look for Saquon to pop off and solidify his spot as the best running back in the league.
Nick Chubb: As Chubb continues to put up big numbers week in and week out it is looking like he can have another big game this week as well. He is facing off against the 30th ranked defense against running backs this season and I can see Chubb running all over them. The Browns run attack has looked elite this season so far, so look for this to continue.
Wide Receivers
Stefan Diggs: Diggs has seemed to cool down a little bit from his absolutely insane start to the season, but he has still been consistently performing. This week he plays Pittsburgh who is ranked 27th against wide receivers this season and I think this is a beautiful matchup for Diggs. Look for Diggs to make some huge plays in this game and to perform for your fantasy team.
Mike Evans: Evans has been an absolute red zone machine for Tom Brady this season and it is almost like the ball is always in his hands when they are close to the red zone. Evans should tear it up this week against Atlanta who is ranked 26th against wide receivers this season. Look for Evans to have one of his signature explosive games this week and don’t be surprised if he is one of the highest scoring receivers this week.
TIght End
Dallas Goedert: Goedert has been an absolute model of consistency this season for his quarterback Jalen Hurts and I think this is the week he is a breakout candidate. Facing off against the 30th ranked defense against tight ends in the Arizona cardinals I think Goedert will be a huge focal point in this offense this week. I can see Goedert making it a very bad day for this Arizona defense and finding the endzone at least once in this matchup.
Busts
Quarterback
Matt Stafford: Stafford has been underperforming every week and I just can’t see him having a big game at all this week. This week he is facing a Dallas Cowboys defense who is not only ranked 6th against quarterbacks this season, but they have looked phenomenal so far. Micah Parsons is an absolute nightmare for quarterbacks and I think Stafford is just going to have a rough day on Sunday.
Running Back
Christian McCaffrey: McCaffrey is an absolute stud at running back, but he is playing probably the best defensive line in all of football right now. The 49ers defense is ranked 2nd against running backs and with Carolina having poor quarterback play as well, I just don’t see McCaffrey finding any production. Look for a down week from the Panthers star running back.
Wide Receiver
Tyreek Hill: As we all know last week, Tua has suffered a major injury and the Dolphins will most likely be without their starting quarterback this week. This is bad news for Hill as he has been lighting up with Tua, but he also will have to face a tough Jets secondary this week as well. I can see this being a down week for Tyreek and I just don’t see a way where he has a huge game.
Tight End
Kyle Pitts: Pitts hasn’t been as successful as we have all wanted him to be so far and I think he is going to struggle against a good Buccaneers defense. The Buccaneers have looked very strong on defense this season and I think with a poor offense in the Atlanta Falcons I see no way that Pitts finds a lot of success. Look for a rough week for the second year tight end this week.
Sleeper
Courtland Sutton: Sutton has seemed to become Russel Wilson’s favourite target in this offense and I can see him having another big performance this week. He’s my sleeper pick because he does have a really tough matchup against the 4th ranked defense against wide receivers in the Indianapolis Colts. I think this could be a game where Sutton still finds production, so look for him to perform.
