April is Alcohol Awareness Month, Black Women’s History Month, and Distracted Driving Awareness Month, but did you know it is also the Month of the Military Child? There are about 1.2 million military children of active-duty members worldwide. This month we recognize the sacrifices they have made and celebrate their strength.
Military kids conquer through frequent moves, a parent being deployed, and so much more. You can also show your support for military children on April 16 by wearing purple for Purple Up Day.
Purple represents all branches of the military because it’s a combination of Army green, Marine red, and Navy, Air Force, and Coast Guard blue.
So please join me by celebrating the Month of a Military Child.
