Pittsburgh Steelers Trade For William Jackson From Washington Commanders

William Jackson Trade

The Pittsburgh Steelers aren’t done with this trade deadline as they have made a deal with the Washington Commanders to acquire disgruntled cornerback William Jackson, per Ian Rapoport.

Jackson wanted out of Washington, and although the trade may not be official yet as the two teams are “Going over some language” the deal is expected to get done per Ian Rapoport.

I would expect the draft capital to be low as it was reported by ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler that the Commanders were going to release Jackson if a trade partner could not be found.

UPDATE: The deal involves a conditional 2025 sixth-round pick being swapped for a conditional 2025 seventh-round pick, per Ian Rapoport. For clarification, the Steelers get Jackson and a conditional 2025 seventh-round pick in exchange for a conditional 2025 sixth-round pick.
