2K Games has announced that its newest title in the PGA Tour 2K series, PGA Tour 2K25, will be available on all platforms on Friday, February 28, 2025. This gameplay trailer showcases improved graphics and new game features such as the EvoSwing and Perfect Swing mechanics. The trailer showcases cover athletes Tiger Woods, Max Homa, and Matt Fitzpatrick along with rising star Rose Zhang. Players can tee it up at the PGA Championship at Quail Hollow, the U.S. Open at Oakmont Country Club, the 153rd Open at Royal Portrush Golf Club, and other iconic Majors. Play as a Tour pro or see your custom MyPLAYER rise up the ranks and tee off in other PGA Tournaments like the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, The PLAYERS Championship at TPC Sawgrass, and more with the enhanced graphics. Hear the crowd cheer and commentators praise the clean fairway drives and they will let you hear it when you slice one into the gallery. Player progress is rewarded through various XP bonuses, earned attribute points, and unlocking parts of the skill tree.
New shot types, ball flights, rolling physics, and visual improvements complement the new EvoSwing mechanic. A player’s swing is broken down into four parts:
- Contact
- Rhythm
- Transition
- Swing Path
These are measured and will be rewarded or penalized accordingly. Making its debut in PGA Tour 2K25 is “Perfect Swing.” It presents a new difficulty setting that will reduce the material impact of external factors on a player’s swing, it will allow both new and experienced players to hit the fairways and greens like a champ.
If you wish to test your skills and prove you’ve got it, cross-platform Ranked Matchmaking will return in PGA Tour 2K25. You will be able to customize your MyPLAYER with fresh apparel and gear from licensed brands such as Titleist, Callaway, COBRA, Adidas, and more.
There are three versions of the game, the Standard Edition, the Deluxe Edition, and the Legend Edition. Following a similar tier system as it did for PGA Tour 2K23. You can read all about the different versions here.
