Hello Warriors! On Wednesday, March 29th in the Roger’s Auditorium at 7:00 P.M. Merrimack will be hosting our second annual “Merrimack Royalty”. Students will be competing in areas such as talent, dress wear, vacation wear and decade wear to see who will win the crown. We have four contestants preparing to step foot on the stage: Nicole Hersey (‘23), Anthony Gentile (‘24), Jackson Fortune-O’Brien (‘24) and Max Beland (‘24). Our three hosts, Ari Vitacca (‘23), Eddie Mendez (‘24) and Bonnie Durante (‘24), will be leading the night to success. Any guesses at who will be sitting on the side of the stage playing judge? Becky Jimenez, Mark Metevier and Peter Rojas will be the three judges watching each round closely. We will also be having a special guest judge, Jahaida Gabriel, who was crowned last year’s Merrimack Royalty.

As the 2023 Spring Intern in the Office of Student Involvement, I have the opportunity to plan this entire event from start to finish one of our grad fellows, Val Mamish. Connor Nickerson and Liv Valdes, our other two grad fellows, are also assisting us with the audio- visual portion and event planning. It has been a challenge, but also a lot of fun having the chance to work alongside them all to think of all the details, plans and ideas for this event. I am looking forward to seeing it all come together on March 29th and to see how much fun all of our participants have. We’ll see you there!
