On Tuesday, April 18, 2023 the Epsilon Phi Chapter of Iota Iota Iota Women’s and Gender Studies Honor Society was established at Merrimack College. There are currently more than 140 collegiate chapters for this honor society nationwide with Merrimack’s Epsilon Phi Chapter becoming one of the more recently founded chapters. During the induction ceremony the Epsilon Phi chapter welcomed 31 new members to our campus’s chapter.
Iota Iota Iota most commonly known as Triota was founded in 1985 at the Metropolitan State College of Denver. It was created to honor and celebrate academic achievements of students in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies and to promote an inclusive community on campus. Triota strives to maintain feminist values to encourage diversity, egalitarianism, and a supportive academic environment for all students.
