Merrimack men’s soccer opened their season against Saint Francis Brooklyn at home in exciting fashion. Frantz Pierrot was the hero, scoring both of Merrimack’s goals in the 2-1 double overtime winner. His game winning goal came at the 101st minute with a chip shot right in front of the net. The Merrimack offense was relentless, tallying 18 shots on goal.
Saint Francis Brooklyn threatened early, getting on the board first with a Nicholas Molina goal at the 37th minute of the first half. They also lead in fouls with 15, going in Merrimack’s favor.
The boys are scheduled to face Mount St. Mary’s on the Mountaineer’s home field in Maryland on Monday, March 8. The game can be watched live on NEC Front Row.
