No matter where you go on campus, you’ll be followed by the sounds of someone coughing up a storm, sneezing, or sniffling their runny nose. Merrimack’s campus is small, so once one person gets sick, almost everyone else follows. With finals approaching, there’s no time to worry about coming down with a cold. Here are some tips to keep in mind that will keep you healthy.

  • Wash your hands often.
  • Get plenty of sleep. 8 hours each night is best.
  • Drink green tea. It has many health benefits and has been known to prevent cold and flu symptoms. You can purchase green tea at Dunkin’ Donuts, Zime, or the Den.
  • Clean your room often. It’s important to disinfect your belongings to avoid the spreading of germs.
  • Participate in light exercise daily.
