Lowell, MA – Bella Keogh made Merrimack women’s soccer history on August 23, 2026, delivering a two-goal performance against UMass Lowell that propelled her to the top of the program’s Division I record book. With her 21st and 22nd career Division I goals, Keogh became Merrimack’s all-time Division I leading goal scorer.

Keogh entered the afternoon with 20 career Division I goals, just one shy of the program record. Two goals later, she had surpassed Ella Cormier ‘25’s mark of 20 and officially established herself as Merrimack’s all-time Division I leading goal scorer with 22 career goals.

Keogh Finds the Back of the Net – Keogh’s historic afternoon began in the 12th minute at 11:21, when she found the back of the net to give Merrimack an early response against the River Hawks. The goal was unassisted and marked the 21st Division I goal of her career, moving her past Cormier’s record.

Keogh returned to the scoresheet early in the second half, striking again at the 49:37 mark. Her second goal of the afternoon gave her 22 career Division I goals and officially extended her lead at the top of Merrimack’s record book.

A Two-Goal Performance to Remember – Both of Keogh’s goals came without an assist, making the milestone even more impressive as she created both scoring opportunities herself. Her first goal came just over 11 minutes into the contest, while her second arrived less than five minutes into the second half.

The two-game performance allowed Keogh to make history in a single afternoon. By the end of the contest, she had gone from Merrimack’s record-chasing goal scorer to the program’s new Division I career leader.

Surpassing Ella Cormier – Keogh’s accomplishment marked the end of Cormier’s run at the top of Merrimack’s Division I scoring record. Cormier ‘25 had previously established the benchmark with 20 career Division I goals before Keogh surpassed her mark against UMass Lowell.

Now Keogh stands alone with 22 career Division I goals and counting. The record-breaking performance adds another major accomplishment to her Merrimack career and gives the program a new name at the top of its Division I scoring list.

A New Standard at Merrimack – With the record now hers, Keogh has established a new benchmark for future Merrimack women’s soccer players to chase. She also has the opportunity to continue adding to her total throughout the 2026 season.

For Keogh, August 23, 2026, will forever stand as the day she rewrote the Merrimack record book. Two unassisted goals at UMass Lowell transformed a 20-goal career into a record-setting 22-goal milestone.
