Harold Parker State Forest, located in Andover, North Andover, North Reading and Middleton, comprises over 3,000 acres of forest with 11 ponds. The forest is an easy trip down Route 125, about three miles from Merrimack College.
The entertainment of Harold Parker State Forest includes hiking, biking, finishing, hunting and horse riding, but non-motorized boating can be used in the park area. The various trails are spread far apart with a mix of residential areas throughout the park.
Most of the time, Harold Parker State Forest is quiet and peaceful. Many people who have been here or live around the park would say Harold Parker is a nice place to go for a walk. Many of the trails are well maintained for hard surface biking and even some off road mountain biking.
Harold Parker, although great for its activities, is a fantastic place to just sit, relax, and enjoy the scenery on a beautiful day.
