As the summer season starts to dwindle down and fall begins to rapidly approach, you might be looking for some new trends to pick up on this fall.
Sophomore Maddy Gillette has created and launched her own jewelry business through Instagram called @Arabellabeads. Gillette’s account has grabbed the attention of not only friends but also by total strangers. Gillette explains “I started out by making necklaces as a hobby and giving them to my friends so they could wear them. I never really had the thought of selling them until my close friend suggested it.”
Accumulating 137 plus followers on her account while making and selling over 60 choker necklaces and cord bracelets, Arabella Beads has been a huge success. “Each piece of jewelry is handcrafted so they’re all individually different” Gillette explains. Gillette’s Instagram posts consist of customers proudly showing off their new purchases. Happy customer and sophomore student Kylee Smith says “Arabella beads is a cute and trendy company. Choker necklaces are popular right now, but her style of jewelry is much different from the kinds you see in stores.”
If you’re looking for trendy yet inexpensive jewelry pieces to edge up any outfit this fall, jewelry from Arabella beads won’t put a hole in your pocket. Necklaces and bracelets range from only $10.00-$20.00. Both bracelets and necklaces are adjustable to any size, making it possible to achieve different ways of styling each individual piece.
Gillette plans to expand Arabella Beads not only on instagram but also to Merrimack students this school year. If you’re interested in checking out Maddy’s jewelry, make sure to give her a follow over on Instagram, @Arabellabeads, and DM her to make a purchase!
