Today it was revealed that the iconic Welsh winger, and avid golfer, Gareth Bale will be making his debut in PGA Tour 2K23 as a playable character. He is available to all players today, per 2K via Press Release. All images used are courtesy of 2K Games.
Better known as one of the fastest and greatest wingers of his generation, Bale’s love of golf may come as a surprise to some. He has competed in some pro-am tournaments and even has a replica of the famous 17th hole “Island Green” at TPC Sawgrass in his backyard. Bale, with TaylorMade gear and clubs, joins Tiger Woods, Nelly Korda, Matthew Fitzpatrick, Jon Rahm and other celebrity guests like Michael Jordan and Stephen Curry on the PGA Tour 2K23 roster.
Bale also provided guidance to VctryLnSprts in designing his dream course, The Elevens Club, through the use of PGA Tour 2K23’s Course Designer. This course features a number of Bale’s preferred elements, including big trees, undulating fairways and greens, water hazards and a beautiful waterfall on the eleventh hole. The Elevens Club is available today and free to all players. A new set of challenges and in-game rewards are available by playing as Bale and taking on The Elevens Club.
The New Asian Architecture Pack is available today in part of an update to the Course Designer. It features a combination of traditional and modern Asian-inspired design elements including skyscrapers, pagodas, lanterns, and lettering.
The Halloween Pack is coming on October 2, which will include autumn elements like jack-o-lanterns, tombstones, and graves. You can test it out yourself with the Course Designer or see what other members of the community come up with!
You can get the game on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4 and Steam. The Clubhouse Pass Season 5 is currently ongoing with new daily and weekly events.
