These are our personal picks for our the best, worst, and slept on foods at the Thanksgiving dinner table. We hope your enjoy your holiday break and happy Thanksgiving from the Beacon E-Board!
- Favorite Thanksgiving Food
Paige: My favorite Thanksgiving food is mashed potatoes, stuffing, and cranberry sauce (has to be the Ocean Spray can, though).
Matt: Stuffing is so good that it practically makes the entire Thanksgiving feast worth it for me. Definitely a staple that no thanksgiving dinner is complete without.
Kyle: Stuffing is an undeniable Thanksgiving classic. You only have it once a year, and it comes to play every single time. Never fails. It’s the glue of great leftovers too.
- Least Favorite Thanksgiving Food
Andrew: Anything with green beans.
Paige: Turkey, but if there’s gravy on it, I will eat it.
Kyle: Real cranberry sauce is not it. If it’s not the jello-y stuff that you can still see the can marks on, I don’t want it.
Matt: I’ve never liked carrots, but roasted carrots are somehow even worse. The texture and the flavor just don’t click with me at all.
- Most Underrated Thanksgiving Food
Paige: I think that rolls are slept on because not only are they good to start the meal off, but they are also good for leftover Thanksgiving sandwiches. Also, green bean casserole is slept on.
Kyle: Sweet potato casserole- tastes like a dessert, but you’re technically eating a vegetable. Wins all around.
Matt: Mashed potatoes don’t get the attention that they deserve, especially if it’s the real and genuine kind.
