Follow-Up On Swipe Access To Residence Halls

During the Mack Meeting on October 6th, issues with the new swipe access policy was brought up to President Christopher Hopey by a variety of students. After listening to the complaints, Hopey announced that this policy would be amended.

“[Hopey] had already had discussions with residence life staff about what the parameters should be, and they came to this set of rules,” James Chiavelli, Associate Vice President of Communications stated.

Student Type Access Granted Time of Access
All undergraduate students Deegan, Ash, Monican, O’Brien, and the South Residential Village common rooms (in Houses 4 & 5) Seven days a week from 7:30a.m.-11p.m.
St. Thomas Apartment residents St. Thomas Apartments (A-F towers) and the St. Thomas Community Room Seven days a week
St. Ann Apartment residents St. Ann Apartments (G-M towers) and the St. Thomas Community Room Seven days a week
Townhouse residents Their own townhouse and the adjacent townhouse if the adjacent townhouse has the laundry facility Seven days a week
North and South Residential Village residents All the pods in their building Seven days a week
