Halloween is almost here, and if you haven’t yet figured out how to dress up, you’ve come to the right place. The best halloween costumes can take a lot of planning, and can require a pretty hefty budget, but there are plenty of options you can put together easily and cheaply.
Black Cat
You can easily do this with make up you (or a friend) already has on hand. You could easily make cat ears with a headband and some paper or cloth, too.
Clown (or Mime!)
There are a few different paths you can go down when doing a clown or mime. You can either do vintage-style, which relies more on black, white, and gray clothes, or go full color explosion. Clowns and mimes use all kinds of make up styles, so you should experiment however you like. Long-haired people should pair the clothes and makeup with a simple updo while short-haired people can spike their hair or tease it out.
Addams Family Character
Group costume alert! Most of the characters from the Addams family can be pretty easily become costumes put together from your own wardroom or swapping items with friends. Then just use a little face powder or highlighter and a light smokey eye to produce a slightly undead look.

Greek God or Goddess
This one requires you to strategically manipulate (and likely destroy) a white sheet or t-shirts, but at least it doesn’t require you to sew anything!
Skeleton
If you cant find fabric paint on short notice, just pick up some bleach and a small paint brush from CVS and create a bleach skeleton shirt or dress. Skeleton makeup is pretty easy to pull off, too.
Robot
This could get really complicated, but a simply robot costume could be put together with a leftover Amazon box and a quick trip to Target.
Zombie
When in doubt, put on some of your older clothes, mess up your hair (you could even add a leaf or two), and use make up to turn yourself into the undead.
