On September 10th, 2025, conservative activist and Turning Point USA co-founder Charlie Kirk was killed by a gunshot during an event he hosted at Utah Valley University.
The 31-year old has been the latest victim of political violence across the USA. Photos have spread across the media of the potential shooter behind the assassination. Authorities have been on the manhunt for the person of interest with a $100,000 reward.
Video footage shows Kirk speaking to audiences in a white tent with slogans reading “The American Comeback” and “Prove Me Wrong.” An audience member asked Kirk a question about gun violence, but Kirk was shot in the neck prior to giving his answer. The crowd is shown gasping and ducking down for their lives.
Kirk had an impact on President Donald Trump, who credited the activist with mobilizing young conservative voters. Trump states that Kirk will be awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
