The Boston Celtics never fail to impress and without their MVP front-runner Jayson Tatum tonight, they still managed to take down the Wizards in a 130-121 victory. The Celtics allowed the game to get closer at the end when they had their substitutes in the game, but other than the last few minutes Boston really dominated. The Celtics have been running through teams lately, and tonight being tested by playing without Jayson Tatum tonight was a very impressive sight. Jaylen Brown led the way tonight with a 36-point masterpiece. Brown stepped up tonight as expected, and this Celtics team just finds ways to win.
Now looking over to the team offense the Boston Celtics continue to be efficient and dominant from the three-point line. The Celtics shot 47.1% from three which is incredible. If the Celtics shoot like this I can’t see them losing to anybody. The Celtics also shot 55% from the field, which is a great sign for this team. The Celtics have been consistent on offense so far this season and they continue to keep it going game after game. Also, other key players who contributed on offense tonight were Sam Hauser with 14 points, Malcolm Brogdon with 17 points, and Derek White with 15 points.
Switching over to the defensive end of the ball, although the Celtics allowed 121 points, that does not define how well they played defensively tonight. The Celtics, like I always say, force teams to take such tough shots and they don’t make anything easy. This led to the Wizards shooting 25% from the three-point line. The Celtics also forced a number of tough passes and tough shots overall and this has been their recipe this season. The Celtics continue to be the most efficient offensive team in basketball, and they still are getting it done on the defensive end without their starting center Robert Williams. As of right now, the Celtics look very scary and the league should be put on notice.
