Austin Scholars Host Arts & Crafts Tuesdays

It’s safe to say that things on campus this year are a little bit different from what we’re used to. Lucky for us, Merrimack has gone above and beyond to provide plenty of programming throughout the week to ensure we stay safe while still having an opportunity to get out and socialize.

One of the newest events being put on for all students is the Arts & Crafts Tuesday event. The event is being run by the Austin Scholars, which is a great fit because, according to the Austin Scholars President Audrey Regan, “Austin Scholars are known to go help serve others in the surrounding communities but now they are putting that service in the Merrimack community.”

Arts & Crafts Tuesdays are held every week at 7:30 pm in the tent at Lot J, but students can also have their supplies delivered to their residence halls to participate in the activity from the comfort of their own dorms.

Supplies are limited, so it’s important to register for the event ahead of time by following the link in the weekly “From The Dean’s Desk” email. So far, there has been mason jar painting, mask decorating, and a decorate your own pot and plant event, with many more to come throughout the remainder of the semester. It’s a great opportunity to get out and socialize safely in our new normal here on campus.
