On Saturday, February 6, Merrimack College informed the community that an indoor unsanctioned student gathering took place on February 7. The gathering took place in the Royal Crest apartments that are leased by Merrimack College. The gathering exceeded the safety guidelines, and out of an abundance of caution, the College decided to quarantine, test, and enact the departure plans of those students who were in attendance.
The students who attended the gathering at Royal Crest met with both Jeffrey Doggett and the Vice President and Dean of Students on Saturday morning to discuss the incident.
All residential students must get tested today, February 8, regardless of whether or not Monday is your testing date or if you were in attendance at the gathering in Royal Crest.
Merrimack reminds the Community of how the actions of a few impact us all. Stay safe, Warriors.
