Jim Chiavelli, Adjunct Professor of Communications, Jim enters his second year as The Beacon’s advisor. Jim teaches Newspaper and New Media I and Newspaper and New Media II at Merrimack, as well as working at Northeastern University. Jim spent time as a journalist in Afghanistan, and has owned and edited several newspapers in Massachusetts, and a skilled photographer. He is also a correspondent for the Boston Globe and the Boston Herald.
